Sir Lord Chuffrey of Mockbeggar Hall is a baron and the late husband of Glinda.
He appears exclusively in the novels.
He is first mentioned by Fiyero as being a Paltos baron and is later shown to be quite wealthy and a businessman. Glinda and Chuffrey seem to work as a team, for wherever he does business, she does good. When asked if she has children, Glinda replies Chuffrey is "dry as a baked walnut," implying that he is infertile.
He is seen briefly in a wheelchair and seems to be infirm. Later on in the story it is revealed that he dies.
