Jackie Burns has portrayed Elphaba in the First National Tour of Wicked and recently concluded her run as Elphaba on Broadway.

BiographyEdit

Burns made her Broadway debut in the Broadway revival of Hair in 2009 before performing in the Off-Broadway production of Rock of Ages.

After that, she went on to take the role of Elphaba in the First National Tour, replacing Donna Vivino. On tour, she starred alongside Chandra Lee Schwartz and Amanda Jane Cooper as Glinda.

Jackie recently played Elphaba on Broadway, replacing Teal Wicks on September 27, 2011. She began her run with Chandra Lee Schwartz but ended her run with Alli Mauzey as Glinda. 

She can be seen singing parts of Defying Gravity for the Wicked Ultimate Encore 2011.
